Homespun Hobbies

Those among us who are "crafty" take this skill for granted sometimes.

It's a fact that not everyone is able to sew, knit or crochet.  If you possess these skills, you can make money doing it!  There are many routes to take to sell your goods online.  You can sell them on Ebay or Etsy, or any number of other online craft marketplaces. But getting started can be overwhelming!

To help you get started on the right foot, I recommend Liz Rad's book Knitting for Profit.  (The title says knitting, but the book applies to crochet as well!)  This book was carefully researched by interviewing successful crafting entrepreneurs.

One of the entrepreneurs Liz interviewed while doing her research was Emi from Hectanooga Patterns.  Emi is a very successful online crochet entrepreneur.  She has branched out into pattern design and video tutorials, but it all started with online crochet sales.  Emi has teamed up with her daughter and niece and together they are the Three Crochet Chicks featured in this blog.

If you're thinking about getting started Crocheting for profit, I've got a great primer for you!
Three Crochet Chicks has kindly offered my readers:

Three Crochet Chicks often offers free patterns and specials.  If you're a crocheter be sure to subscribe to their blog!
